The Cheetah Fund Crowdfunding Bootcamp: Join Us?

The Nailab in conjunction with mLabiBiz Africa and iHub will be hosting a crowd-funding bootcamp on the 9th and 10th October 2014. Dubbed “The Cheetah Fund“, this is a project by the 1% Club and backed by the Dutch National Postcode Lottery. They have a fund of 400,000 Euro to support ideas that are primarily social & environmental impact driven across Africa. If the participants raise at least 30% of their targeted crowd-funding amount in 30 days, The Cheetah Fund will top up the rest. You can read more about it here .

The bootcamp is a two-day event, but you can only attend on either day (Thursday or Friday). Part of the bootcamp will involve sessions in areas such as social media, pitching, story telling, communication among others- tools that the participants can employ in their bid to crowd-fund.

Event registration is two-step: a) Eventbrite registration here  (free ticket) followed by b) uploading your project on the Cheetah Fund website here.

We strongly encourage you to participate in the bootcamp as it will give you a lot of exposure & learning opportunities, plus the chance to raise awareness and funds for your project.
